If the minimum price has not been reached and the lot has not been assigned, in principle no sale will take place. However, in some cases there is still the possibility for bidder(s) to negotiate. If there is an opportunity to negotiate for the lot, we will contact you (within 3 business days after closing). Therefore, it is not necessary to contact us yourself to request negotiations. Any negotiation can take place in two different ways depending on the lot, namely sealed bidding and open negotiation.

Sealed bidding

You will receive an email giving you the opportunity to place a final bid on the lot for 2 hours. Your bid must be higher than the current highest bid. When placing the bid, you must accept the Terms and Conditions. The bid placed is final and binding.

If you do not place a final bid within the 2 hours, it will no longer be possible to win the lot.

After you have placed a final bid, you wait for the seller’s decision. If your bid is accepted, the lot will automatically appear in the checkout, after which you can proceed to payment. If your bid is not accepted, you have definitively not won the lot.

Open negotiation

You will be contacted by one of our colleagues regarding the lot. You will be asked if you want to place another bid on the lot. If you place another bid, the seller can accept it, after which a sale is concluded. However, the seller can also reject your bid or make a counteroffer. If the seller rejects your bid, no sale will definitively take place. If the seller makes a counteroffer, you can choose whether or not to agree to it.
