An online Direct Sale shares similarities with an auction but is not exactly the same. Buyers can 'Confirm Interest' on the lot page by placing a bid or asking questions about the presented lot. You can also 'Confirm Interest' without placing a bid. Bids in an online Direct Sale are not visible on the website. You can place multiple bids on a lot, provided each new bid is higher than your previous bid.
You will receive a confirmation email for every bid you place. After the Direct Sale closes, all bids are evaluated. The seller then has up to 48 hours (business days) to decide whether to award the lot to the highest bidder. After the Direct Sale ends, Troostwijk will inform all bidders by email whether they have won the lot or not.
