In these fraudulent messages, bank details are shared with a request to transfer payment to a specified account. Although the sender may seem legitimate at first glance, there is often a small typo in the email address, making it look like the email is from Troostwijk Auctions. However, this is not the case. Please be extra cautious about this.
What can you do yourself?
- Always carefully check the sender's email address.
- Never respond to payment requests via email that include bank details.
