Business buyers from the European Union (EU) and non-EU countries (third countries) are required to provide a deposit security to Troostwijk Germany. The deposit security is calculated based on the VAT rate applicable in the Federal Republic of Germany and is equivalent to the total price of the purchase.
Once it has been confirmed that the purchased lot has left the EU, the deposit will be refunded to the buyer. EU buyers must submit a completed entry certificate (last page of the invoice) to Troostwijk Germany in order to receive the deposit refund. The specific procedure for this is outlined in the invoice. Non-EU buyers must provide a copy of the completed export declaration with a stamp from the EU border customs agency or an electronic export notice.
